Equipment Tips for Floating Candles Definitely use a primed wick with your floating candle.  If your wick gets wet your candle won’t burn. A well primed wick will also help protect your candles burning capabilities in case it gets splashed.

 

 

 

 

Once you've made your floating candles you'll want to make sure you have prepared some great places to leave them floating.

You could drop a floating candle into a goblet or wine glass. A margarita glass is great for three small candles.

Or perhaps try filling a votive holder with water and make a lovely floating votive!

And of course, don't forget to fill a large bowl with water and float several candles in it to make a warm, beautiful centerpiece for your next dinner party.
